Hello anyone-who-still-checks,
We ARE coming back. Today I upgraded Wordpress and installed a great webcomic theme called Comicpress for it.
Meanwhile, Monica and I are working hard on revamping the characters to give us more freedom in writing. The characters will be basically still the ones you know, but also somewhat changed too - and definitely turned up several notches.
I’ll try to post regular updates on our progress…

Hello Readers,
Well, Monica and I have realized that we’ve written ourselves into a box. We want to revamp or even re-invent the comic to allow us a LOT more freedom in characters, topics, situations, etc.
We’re working on it, honestly. But we may be on haitus for a while before we’re back (and we WILL be back) with either an entirely new or at least significantly revamped comic. The art will stay pretty much the same, that’s Monica’s style, and we may well carry some characters over, but we shall see.
If you’d like to be emailed when the comic is back up, drop us a line at nick@alexandcrista.com and we’ll send you an alert when we are publishing again.
In the meantime, feel free to browse the archives!
All the best,
Nick and Monica

Actually we saw it July 4th, and it was everything I’d been hoping for an more. Really, really loved it - I’m now planning to go see it again in theatres. Geek nirvana for a nerd like me!

Those with geek skills are often pressed into family tech support. The problems range from the usual to the bizarre, and usually the later are not the original problem, but rather what family members did themselves to try to fix it…
OK, so we don’t plan to do this on an ongoing basis, but our 7 yr old daughter, who often watches Monica draw the comic, went and drew a comic of her own. It honestly made me laugh out loud, so I’m sharing it with you all below. I only had to make very small alterations for readability.
And yes, we had a comic ready for today - that one gets bumped to Monday.
